Good evening everybody!

It’s hard to believe that we’ve come to another end of day here in Guatemala. This morning we got up early and headed out to an english speaking Church in Antigua. It was a wonderful experience at this church that was planted from a church in Dallas, Texas. We witnessed a wonderful worship service, including some familiar songs along with a great message by the pastor.  We’re challenged to give everything to the Lord fully.  The pastors primary text was several scriptures from Nehemiah.

After that, we headed into Antigua and walked around, even stopping at Starbucks. We were able to see a couple of the famed sites, including the big yellow arch, and the local Catholic Church. I had been here more than 10 years ago on a different trip. It brought back memories for sure.

After this, we continued on our journey up further in elevation. On the  way up to the mountain, we stopped to eat an amazing lunch. Our host Family treated us to a wonderful meal and we enjoyed fellowship. The food was so good!

After lunch we continued up and got to see Mayan ruins. This was very interesting. It’s hard to believe that hundreds of years ago another civilization lived there. This sparked some interesting conversations about this culture.

After the Mayan ruins, we returned to the house where I am now typing this email. It is later in the evening and I’m sure we will all go to bed early as we have a lot to do this coming week. Please continue to pray for us as we are tackling several large projects with hopes that we will be able to accomplish them all before we leave. We are also hoping to visit a local public school and attend the Bible study after school with two of the teachers. We also plan to go back to the wheelchair factory as there will be a distribution day along with a family medical clinic.

We are so thankful for your support both praying and financially. This has  enabled us to come on this amazing trip. Esther and I have had a wonderful time of bonding, growing closer to the Lord, and being able to serve many people that we would not otherwise have been able to. We cannot wait to see how the Lord shows up and opens doors for us here. We are also excited to see how this spurs us on as we seek what the Alford has for us moving forward. Mission trips are often a catalyst and fully expect this to happen for us as well.

Thank you for partnering with us on this journey.
