Hello!
I wanted to first thank you for your support financially and through prayer as Esther and I prepare for our upcoming trip to Guatemala. Our tickets have been purchased and we will be flying to Guatemala on Thursday, January 22nd to return on Friday, January 30th. It sure is coming fast!
Much of the trip itinerary is still being finalized and, due to the nature of the Latin American Culture, will remain fluid until we are there. But here is what we know. There will be 7 members on our team. Our tasks include the following. We will be working with the local church that the team leader is connected to in building 2 houses and possibly some other remodeling needs. We will also visit two local teachers paid by the church that teach morals and ethics to the public school based on the bible. They also conduct a weekly bible study during the evening which we will be able to join. The final ministry we will get to visit and help at is the wheelchair factory. At this factory they custom measure and make wheelchairs for disabled individuals. We will hopefully be able to join on a day they are fitting children in their wheelchair. In addition we will get to worship at the local church and visit a couple of the local sites.
Our accommodations will be at the home which is maintained by a sponsored family that has rooms available for use. They will also be taking care of feeding us and all transportation while we are in the country.
Finally, I wanted you to know I hope to provide some updates and pictures while in the country. Our wifi will be limited but I should have cell coverage most of the time. Stay on the lookout for these emails!

- Pray for Heather and the other kids as they continue on with their daily life without us.
